Responsibilities

Reassemble and adjust machines to keep production equipment in good working order.

Troubleshoot issues and consult with management as necessary.

Perform diverse mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, machining, aligning, and testing operations.

Conduct preventative maintenance and complex repairs on company-owned machine tools.

Provide support to departmental personnel and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Order parts/supplies, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure operational requirements are met.

Follow safety guidelines, diagnose and repair malfunctions, mentor other mechanics, and perform other assigned duties.

Required

Associates degree in electrical, electronics, hydraulics, fluid power, robotics, or related field and a minimum of 128 hours of maintenance/machining programs after associate's degree obtained (i.e., Mechanical Troubleshooting, PLC Controls, Pneumatics, Electronics, etc.)

Either two years of experience as a CNC Machine Mechanic B or equivalent previous experience with maintenance of CNC machining equipment (9+ years of similar experience)

Strong mechanical aptitude

Ability to disassemble equipment, access problems, and reassemble in an expeditious manner (Equipment includes: electrical systems, Programmable Logic Control systems, hydraulic pumps/systems, gearboxes/transitions, and pneumatic systems)

Understand safety rules and regulations to prevent unsafe set-ups, operations, or acts, which might cause injury to self, others, or the environment

Read and understand mechanical prints and electrical schematics

Proficient working knowledge of a variety of electronic controls

Ability to adjust machines physical placement and parameters to original machine specifications

Ability to work independently

Ability to take work direction and complete tasks in an organized and timely manner

Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to lead and instruct co-workers
