Responsibilities

Be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic components made from castings, forgings, and stamped steel materials.

Program, read blueprints/CAD drawings, adjust offsets, and change inserts, change out jobs with appropriate tooling, and set-up and qualify first article parts.

Support the production requirements for all work cells.

Prioritize daily work based on safety, quality, and productivity requirements.

Required

Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and four years machinist experience; or six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of CAD software applications, and CNC programming experience.

Must be able to read blueprints and have a basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
