Responsibilities

Develop programs and fixturing for Haas Mills, Haas Lathes, Bridgeport type mills, and other “manual” machine centers.

Partner with Engineering to design and build fixtures.

Coach/instruct machine operators in proper set-up and run procedures for new parts.

Create machine set-up sheet instructions including tool lengths and work offsets.

Check parts to print and adjust tool offsets as required.

Required

5-7 years of Machine Shop / programming experience preferred.

Technical School certificate/degree preferred.

Experience programming or using the following technologies: "C" axis and live tooling on HAAS CNC Lathes, Haas controls and G & M codes, Fanuc controls, Mastercam programming software (2D, 3D, Wire and Lathe), AutoDesk drafting and vault software.

Must be able to read, follow and understand blueprints, methods, and procedural instructions.

Responsible for machining parts to print and checking own work and the work of other programmers.

Ability to identify common raw materials, proper tooling, and work-holding devices.

Competent with typical measuring equipment (micrometers, dial calipers, indicators, and edge finders).

Must be able to stand for long periods in a fast-paced shop environment.

Regularly required to stand, bend, and reach and occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.
