Responsibilities

Design and develop new enterprise reports and dashboards using Cognos 11.2 to give leaders and their teams consistent and reliable insights

Define and follow Cognos development best practices

Apply data visualization best practices

Tell stories through data visuals to inform the who, what, when, where, and how to be able to understand the key factors driving positive outcomes

Develop and maintain solution documentation

Determine effective formats for the customer and contribute to conceptualizing, development, and design of infographics, reports, and dashboards based on customer requirements

Work closely with team members including Institutional Research, Integrations, Data Management to bring designs to fruition

Coordinate with Software Testers and Release Management to integrate the final work product into the production environment

Required

3 years of working experience in data management, data migration, data warehousing, business intelligence and data modelling with a deep knowledge of enterprise data architecture concepts

Experience designing and building mission-critical/high volume transaction and highly scalable systems.

Experience in creating and developing innovative and insightful dashboards/reports that will allow stakeholders to gain effective insight that will inform business decisions

Experience working within a high-growth, fast-paced technology company

Excellent knowledge of SQL and working with Snowflake

Experience using BI tools like, Tableau, DBT, PowerBI or any BI Reporting Tool and Data Visualization application.

Excellent skills in Data Warehouse Design & Development, Dimensional Data modelling, Star / Snowflake schema

Write requirements documents, functional/technical specifications, and test plans.

Experience working in an Agile Scrum Environment

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or similar discipline
