Responsibilities
Provides tactical analytical support for Sales and Marketing, tracking and analyzing sales metrics for internal and external purposes
Utilize syndicated data and other resources to collect point-of-sale data and insights to identify trends and business opportunities for Sales and Marketing
Organizes, analyzes, and draws conclusions from specific syndicated data sources such as IRI, Nielson, and POS to independently support sales initiatives
Provides analytics on a variety of initiatives, including findings and recommendations on the 4Ps
Analyzes sales trends to optimize product assortment to influence buyers to add or delete certain products
Conducts market research to understand shopping behavior to help defend or increase product share of shelf
Conducts post-promotion analysis of customer events
Provides analytics to support the development of promotional packs that will drive incremental sales
Tracks new item performance to ensure accurate data around launch and to assess whether product goals have been met
Builds presentations using key analytical findings as requested and approved by the manager
Provides point-of-sale data to the commercial team to assist sales managers in assessing the state of business and to find opportunities for growth with customers
Tracks sales to identify product success and/or underperformance
Gathers competitive intelligence and analyzing impact on marketplace
Sets up standard reports that facilitate ease of evaluating business results on a recurring basis.
Provide ad hoc analytical support to commercial team members as approved by manager

Ability to utilize syndicated data systems and access, assess, interpret, and draw accurate conclusions from syndicated data sources to make the case for a plan of action or a decision
Ability to utilize internal data systems and access, assess, interpret, and draw accurate conclusions from internal data sources to make the case for a plan of action or a decision
Ability to utilize the analysis of a variety of sources of data to develop solid, actionable recommendations that address specific goals/objectives and 'tell the business story'
Ability to recognize and articulate product, customer, and marketplace trends and patterns based on the analysis of various data sources
Demonstrates ability to create fact-based presentations to translate sales data to achieve objectives in line with customer strategy
Serves as an active and high performing member of the team and fosters a culture of growth and collaboration
Acts with urgency to make the most of opportunities, address customer needs, and accomplish goals and objectives on a day-to-day business needs
Ability to complete projects and organize work independently to produce outcomes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, marketing, data science or other relevant field
At least two years of experience as an analyst
Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Preferred
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) not required but highly valued
Previous industry related experience preferred.
