Responsibilities
Commodity Manager / Sr. buyer will lead categories assigned supporting $30-50+ million purchase spend.
Self-Directed they will have the ability to work directly with business unit/operations interface acting in liaison capacity for purchasing.
Have the ability to handle multiple commodities.
Incumbent should possess key technical abilities /knowledge in commodity areas assigned.
Ability to act as lead strategist.

Ability to perform financial analysis, spreadsheets, cataloging and database upkeep, project management
Develop and Implement sourcing strategies
Work with suppliers to obtain cost-saving contracts/material cost reduction
Supply base reductions
Supply chain optimization
Supplier certification and contract compliance
Implementation of value chain improvement initiatives
Supplier delivery, quality improvements, and waste reduction
Implementation of Oracle and future eProcurement initiatives
Primary commodity responsibility and/or business unit regional responsibility
Support tactical requirements of position/processing P2P (Purchase to Pay)
Provide administrative support for management team
