Responsibilities
Develop and implement media outreach strategies to enhance the visibility of LOVB Pro, our teams, and our athletes.
Serve as a point of contact for media inquiries, coordinating interviews, press releases, and press conferences.
Maintain relationships with sports journalists, influencers, and media partners.
Manage crisis communications and coordinate with relevant departments to provide timely and accurate information.
Craft and enforce consistent messaging guidelines, aligning with the league’s mission, vision, and voice.
Work closely with marketing and brand teams to ensure brand cohesion in all league communications.
Lead our Speakers Bureau, and draft speeches, talking points, and official statements for league executives as needed.
Partner with our social team on influencer outreach and management.

Required
B.A. in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related fields preferred.
3-5+ years in communications, public relations or media relations, preferably within sports or a fast-paced industry
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling narratives.
Demonstrated experience managing media relations and crisis communications.
Experience in sports journalism or working directly with athletes.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
Optimization-oriented, with an eye for detail.
Enjoy and thrive working in a busy and dynamic environment.
Ability to think on your feet and handle competing priorities.
Solutions-oriented knowing when to escalate potential issues and challenges.
A collaborator with excellent communication skills.
A clear and friendly communication style with strong listening skills, both written and verbal.
Must be a positive, proactive and organized team player.
A deep passion for women's sports and female empowerment.
A creative and 'out of the box' thinker who can challenge traditional sports/pro/media norms.
Highly energetic and scrappy approach and strong willingness to roll up the sleeves and bias towards action.
