Responsibilities

Assist the JPMO in creating and maintaining a Communications Plan that outlines the framework and approach to managing communication across the JPMO and Component FSM programs.
Produce and Coordinate Communications to Department Leadership and external stakeholders such as Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and Congress.
Work with executives to prepare executive level briefings.
Develop talking points or elevator pitches and language for Program Manager, Modernization Manager, Chief Financial Officer, and other DHS stakeholders to use when briefing program status.
Take meeting minutes and record action items at all Executive Steering Committees, Executive Stakeholder Briefs, Deputy Under Secretary for Management briefs, and other meetings as required.
Assist the JPMO to develop and execute a communication plan and strategy for each Component undergoing a migration of its financial management systems.
Develop agenda, meeting logistics, briefings, presentations, reports and other communication products for a wide variety of audiences including executives.
Identify key communication activities relating to program milestones.
Review internal and external reports (e.g., OMB Exhibit 300, monthly program reviews).
Coordinate activities with and support Organizational Change Management (OCM) team initiatives.
Refine communications work-plan for pre-implementation and implementation activities.
Write, correct, and support continuous execution of communications plan.
Analyze current communications and mitigate gaps by improving communication strategy and plan. This may include the creation of documents.
Ensure materials are developed timely to meet DHS and OCFO review requirements.
Provide materials to PM and/or DPM for review one (1) business day in advance of due date.

Required

US Citizen able to pass a government level background check and obtain a Public Trust.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Management, Systems Science, Engineering, Math, Business, or a related field
Proficient using 365 Microsoft Suite; Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook OneNote, Access and Publisher. Visio experience highly desired.
Strong quality control experience and detail oriented.
Strong analytical skills and experience is expected writing communication pieces on SELC lifecycle (System Engineering Life Cycle Development) and Project Management skills will significantly enhance your ability to thrive.
Able to work in a fast-paced remote environment juggling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred

Significant focus on detail for a host of continuously moving functions on the Program ensuring that appropriate information is disseminated through various channels to the multitude of Clients and Stakeholders in a timely and accurate fashion.
Must be a strong team member and a professional in both capturing, editing, and disseminating communications. Must always be able to communicate to a wide spectrum of Client audiences rapidly and effectively, from the executives through entry-level staff and stakeholders.
Must be able to seriously multi-task in a very fast-paced and demanding work environment.
Strong experience in meeting scheduling and knowledge of meeting scheduling tools is essential.
