Responsibilities

Develop and lead the delivery of the Community Grants Project across the North.
Oversee the delivery of the programme, engaging with established and new community groups, partners and volunteers.
Encourage active participation with identified free to enter heritage sites and their landscapes through the delivery of the pilot community grants programme.
Develop and implement an inspiring and impactful community grants programme in line with the National Heritage Lottery Fund, Activity Plan's agreed priorities, objectives and targets.
Take primary responsibility for the successful delivery of the programme.
Liaise with and build effective relationships with English Heritage departmental staff in Historic Properties, Curatorial, Education, Volunteering and Events to develop and implement coordinated projects and programmes for the sites.
Develop proactive relationships with diverse communities, brokering new relationships with stakeholders, local groups and residents to encourage understanding and participation in the CGPM grants.

Required

Excellent communication skills (written & oral), clarity & fluency.
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage own workload.
Ability to prioritise and to show initiative.
Understanding of volunteering and the voluntary sector.
An understanding of the principles of good Health & Safety management.
