Responsibilities

Oversee and manage communities on X/Twitter and Instagram, including creating posts, responding to comments, and moderating DMs.
Prepare a 6-month content calendar (January – June) with multiple content streams, applying critical thinking to determine the appropriate cadence of posts.
Craft copy for channels in the client’s brand voice.
Partner with the creative team to update content templates for use
Engage regularly with fans across platforms to promote positive interactions and foster a sense of community.
Respond promptly to community feedback, questions, and concerns, ensuring followers feel heard and valued.
Collaborate with the client team to communicate updates, address common issues, and provide insights that help shape future content.
Develop and implement community engagement initiatives, including trivia and contests, to keep the community excited and involved.
Monitor, analyze, and report on sentiment and engagement metrics, using these insights to refine strategies.
Attend creative production shoots as a social team representative.
Coordinate with the client team to align social initiatives with broader campaign goals.

Required

1-3 years of experience in social community management, ideally with a sports team, college/university, or non-profit.
Passion for sports and a strong understanding of the collegiate football landscape.
Proven experience managing a community on X or Instagram, familiar with leveraging platform features to tell a brand’s story.
Expertise in social copywriting for X and Instagram.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to capture and represent brand voice.
Strong understanding of social media platforms and tools, especially X/Twitter and Instagram.
A proactive and empathetic approach to community building, with a focus on enhancing brand perception.
Ability to analyze data and adjust strategies to foster a vibrant, active community.
