Responsibilities

Reviewing and approving move-in, recertification, and interim files within designated timeframes (48 hours for move-ins and 5 business days for others).
Providing timely feedback and clear communication to site staff on compliance file details.
Supporting and training site teams to deliver exceptional service to applicants and residents.
Conducting compliance file audits both on-site and remotely, as needed.
Preparing and submitting required reports for state agencies, investors, and other stakeholders.
Staying up to date with HUD, IRS, and state policies, attending annual training, and keeping staff informed of updates.
Managing compliance with utility allowances, rent increases, and occupancy reporting.
Assisting in resolving discrepancies in EIV, PIC, and TRACS systems.
Updating the Compliance Manual and collaborating on action plans for non-compliant properties.

Required

A high school diploma or equivalent
Five or more years of compliance experience, especially with Section 8, HOME, and Tax Credit programs
Tax Credit Specialist (TCS) or Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) designation, or the ability to obtain these certifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel when needed
The ability to work remotely with a dedicated home office space

Preferred

A bachelor’s degree in a related field
Familiarity with Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) systems
