Responsibilities

Facilitate configuration management and control for various spaceflight systems
Provide essential contributions to the team's impact on all aspects of configuration management for each phase of the development lifecycle
Own the design integration within the overall vehicle configuration
Coordinate regular configuration reviews to address vehicle and subsystem interfaces, subsystem functionality, assembly, and operations
Guide multi-functional teams through the Engineering Change process
Support the resolution of integration issues with lead engineers and their respective teams
Develop or manage control documents associated with interface definitions between subsystems and vehicles
Set up, lead, and conduct Change Control Board Meetings
Maintain the high-level Engineering Bill of Materials and product structure
Ensure adherence to industry and Blue Origin configuration management standards and methodologies
Support the process of developing system requirements, flow down, and verification planning
Support the improvement of program policy and procedures around effective configuration & change management
Ensure that the configuration supports major design reviews and the integration landmarks
Maintain and report on engineering development activity and technical issues
Communicate and collaborate with all development teams involved on projects
Communicate with senior program leaders including chief engineers and program directors

Required

B.S. degree in engineering and 6+ years proven ability in design, development, sustainment and/or configuration management of highly integrated, complex products
Experience in aerospace, medical devices, automotive, or other related industry.
Proven configuration control experience on recently developed products from early trade studies through final design and into manufacturing and test, maintenance and sustaining.
Management of multiple configuration variants of a common design baseline.
Management of changes to an operational (fielded) system with varying effectivities across multiple products
Familiar with viewing and navigating large models in CAD programs (Creo Pro/E preferred)
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to our inclusive culture
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Ability to navigate in a fast-paced environment with standard work and special projects

Preferred

Experience with large assembly management in PTC Creo or other CAD tool.
Experience with PTC Windchill PLM tools
Familiar with CAD conventions such as ASME Y14.100 and Y14.41
Knowledge of aerospace vehicle fabrication and assembly techniques and related quality control concepts
Knowledge of current industry standard systems engineering and integration tools, methodologies
Experience in a hard engineering skill such as mechanical, payloads, propulsion, etc.
