Responsibilities

Propose changes that improve the current system configuration and submit for approval to the Configuration Control Board (CCB).

Document all baselines, Change Requests (CRs), deviations, and waivers.

Establish a formal CM program that addresses all new and modified hardware, firmware, software, and documentation resulting from the contract. The CM program shall include a CCB of representatives from the Contractor, customer, and external entities. The CM program shall provide configuration identification, configuration control, and configuration status accounting of all new or modified hardware, firmware, software, and documentation including Government Furnished Property for the duration of the contract.

Establish and maintain a Configuration Control Plan, adhering to configuration control standards for any changes, only enacting approved system changes.

Submit CRs to the CCB for evaluation, before implementation. Identify and track changes and update system and design documentation.

Identify system changes that impact system documentation, notifying relevant parties that updates are required.
