Responsibilities
Provide support for the East River Collaborative (ERC) core team through scheduling, agenda preparation, notetaking, etc.
Manage the ERC listserv and communications with ERC stakeholders, including drafting newsletters and updating website content.
Work on communications and outreach for the East River's flood resiliency projects, including coordinating meetings for stakeholders and the public.
Assist in planning learning exchange events and the ERC's annual winter forum.
Support engagement and communications with underserved communities within the East River Watershed.
Assist the Southern Driftless Grasslands (SDG) partnership with communications and outreach, goal setting, and project management.
Facilitate planning sessions with the SDG team and draft an Outreach & Communications Plan.
Collaborate with SDG team members on outreach events and content creation.
Manage and deliver SDG news and content via website and social media platforms.
Prepare a communications toolkit for SDG partners and stakeholders.

Required
Bachelor’s degree and 1-year related experience or equivalent combination.
Experience with relevant technology such as Microsoft Suite needed for communications, constructing reports and managing calendars.
Experience providing administrative or project support.
Experience writing, editing, and proofreading written materials.
Involvement in organizing, planning, and/or facilitating events.
Solid knowledge of technology with ability to use advanced Excel, Outlook or Word functions.
Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
Ability to coordinate efforts and organize to complete assigned tasks/projects.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, with assignments sometimes coming from a number of sources, and work independently.
Valid driver's license and compliance with TNC’s Auto Safety Program.
Preferred
Multi-lingual skills appreciated.
Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred.
Degree(s) in Marketing, Communications, Life Sciences Communication, Communication Arts, or similar is appreciated. Demonstrated experience, coursework or interest in conservation, ecology, GIS, social science, graphic design, writing, community engagement or outreach is also welcome.
