Responsibilities

Provide proficiency in IBM Mainframe under both Native zOS and zVM environments.

Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and analyze information skillfully.

Review technical recovery procedures for clarity and accuracy prior to recovery or test event.

Execute customer-specific recovery procedures to restore operating system, applications and data.

Responsible for providing clear and concise updates in the ticketing system in a timely manner.

Lead/Attend the pre-test call and capture all the dependencies of the platform.

Follow escalation procedures promptly.

Work supportively with colleagues, operating in a manner that is consistent with 11:11’s Code of Business Ethics and Company Values

Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle company data and information per Company data handling agreements, work procedures and policies

Review and follow company policies and guidelines, data privacy practices, including annual compliance training certification and policy acknowledgements

Additional duties as assigned

Required

BA Degree or equivalent work experience

Extensive technical experience in a role involving direct customer contact (Internal and / or external customers.)

Debug hardware and software issues associated with IBM Mainframe operations and recovery.

Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and network technologies and Ability to effectively use diagnostic tools as required.

Strong hands-on working knowledge of the following Mainframe Software Components: Native recovery, Mainframe VM, Parallel Sysplex Coupling Facility, recovery of Mainframe specific application and database products. zOS 2.3 and previous. ZVM 7.1 and previous.

IBM Z15 / EC15 and previous – IBM Power Systems, DASD, Tape, IBM Network Devices & Infrastructure (Brocade switches).

Excellent technical communication skills both verbal and written.
