Responsibilities
Providing support to the EUR Office on policy-related research
Development of advocacy materials
Supporting their engagements with the broader U.S. Department of Commerce
Supporting the EUR office in coordinating SelectUSA investment goals for the Europe and Eurasia region
Providing expert technical knowledge in required subject areas
Assisting in drafting inputs to briefing materials for DOC senior officials

Required
Bachelor’s degree is required
Minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional experience
Demonstrated subject matter expertise in international trade, and/or foreign direct investment; federal-level experience is desired
Professional knowledge and experience with the Europe and Eurasia region and its trade and investment policies, including EU policy
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
Advanced knowledge reading, editing, generating graphs, and performing calculations in MS Excel
Excellent writing and communication skills
Ability to compile and analyze data, and provide recommendations based upon statistical analysis
Ability to analyze programs and processes to determine effectiveness
Ability to operate independently to complete tasks and succeed in a fast-paced environment
Applicants should demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail
A public trust background check with U.S. Government must be completed prior to starting work
Preferred
Advanced degree is preferred in the fields of international relations, economics, and/or law
