Responsibilities
Create, update, and optimize content for public-facing websites, ensuring full compliance with Section 508 and WCAG A/AA standards.
Conduct usability and accessibility testing to improve user experience and interface design.
Develop newsletters, user guides, and training materials to support AHRQ’s programs.
Collaborate with developers and designers to integrate accessibility throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor user engagement metrics and recommend enhancements for search functionality and content relevance.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, UX Design, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in accessible content creation and web design.
Proficiency with accessibility tools such as AXE or WAVE, and CMS platforms (e.g., Drupal, Acquia).
Knowledge of SEO best practices and analytics tools like Google Analytics.
Preferred
Accessibility certifications (e.g., IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies)
