Responsibilities

Work in a team to develop a new control system product for solar trackers, involving software development, electronics design, and component integration.

Contribute to issue resolution and continuous improvement of existing control system products by developing and debugging software, testing components, and enhancing product layout.

Follow internal processes for new product development and collaborate with stakeholders like Product Management and Program Management.

Engage with third parties like electronics design houses and test labs as needed, and participate in field inspections and testing.

Regularly report work status to the hiring manager.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and 2+ years of experience in the industry in a relevant position or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience in developing software for embedded devices (microcontrollers such as STM32 and ATMEL); capability to write clear and structured code in C/C++. Must have a good understanding of microcontroller architectures and peripherals (eg: ADC, PWM, I2C).

Experience or interest in custom electronics development. Commercial or industrial product development experience is a plus.

Experience or interest in developing software for Linux environment; Knowledge of Python is a plus.

Experience or interest in machine-to-machine communication; Experience or knowledge of the following communication protocols is a plus: Modbus (over RS-485 or TCP), OPC-UA, Zigbee, and RESTful API.

Willingness to learn and continuously improve one's technical expertise.

Willingness to work in a team.

Preferred

Knowledge or interest in FreeRTOS or other RTOS environments is a plus.

Knowledge of ladder logic programming to support PLC code development is a plus.

Experience in working with relational databases (MySQL) and the following Python packages is a plus: numpy, pandas, and matplotlib.

Interest in solar industry; Experience with solar SCADA systems is a plus.
