Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with federal government contracting requirements, including FAR/DFARS regulations.
Manage and maintain the Unanet system for project accounting, timekeeping, and expense reporting.
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP and ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
Collaborate with leadership to develop financial strategies and provide insights to support organizational goals.
Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships to ensure financial stability.
Lead audits and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations.
Provide guidance and mentorship to the finance team, fostering professional growth and development.

Required
7-8+ years of proven experience as a Controller or similar senior financial leadership role, within federal government contracting.
Significant experience within federal government contracting is required.
Advanced hands-on experience with Unanet, including project accounting, reporting, and financial management functionalities.
Strong understanding of FAR/DFARS regulations and compliance requirements.
Advanced proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) for collaboration and reporting.
Expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Demonstrated success in managing audits and regulatory compliance processes.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of effectively managing teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Preferred
CPA or CMA preferred.
