Responsibilities

Manage organization and sharing permissions for a story bank and content library.
Schedule and facilitate meetings and interviews to gather information and stories.
Champion and maintain a communications calendar to guide content strategy.
Ensure high-quality content is published consistently and optimized for search engines.
Assist in the creation, planning, and procurement of media assets.
Compile and distribute newsletters for internal and external stakeholders.
Support internal and departmental communication needs.
Act as a project manager, maintaining content rhythm calendar and communication strategy goals.
Provide technical support for cross-departmental content brainstorms.
Maintain project deadlines, content launch dates, and newsletter distribution lists.
Manage process for content request form and track requests and outputs.
Work cross-functionally with all departments to support communications goals.

Required

Strong written communication and design skills
Project management experience, with a solid understanding of project management principles and techniques
Understanding of brand identity in the nonprofit sector
Commitment to approaching the role as a team player with a collaborative spirit
Regularly leverage innovative new approaches to content development
Ability to manage internal teams and vendor partners to ensure timely and accurate execution of collateral
Be approachable, responsive, flexible, and available
Commitment to the principles of ethical and authentic storytelling
Consistently improve how projects are managed and coordinated within the agency
Actively participate on creative and execution project teams composed of other development team members
At least three (3) years of communications, marketing, or related experience
College degree, or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Degrees with a focus on written communication preferred

Preferred

Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish is preferred but not required
You may be required to travel for this position, up to 5%
