Responsibilities

Legal Research & Advisory: Provide executives with actionable insights on laws and regulations to keep our operations secure and compliant.

Regulatory Compliance: Oversee compliance initiatives, manage state licensing processes, and handle regulatory audits.

Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to align with our goals and legal requirements.

Collections Assistance: Offer legal support in debt recovery, including court proceedings and policyholder negotiations.

Leadership: Supervise and mentor compliance team members to ensure top performance.

Required

You must be licensed and authorized to practice law in California OR have the ability to become licensed and authorized to practice law in California.

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

3-5+ years of corporate law experience, preferably in finance, insurance, or payments.

Proven ability to align legal strategies with business objectives.

Strong understanding of finance and insurance laws.

Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Team leadership and compliance program management expertise.
