Responsibilities

Uses a high level of initiative and discretion in prioritizing work and performing duties that are complex and confidential in nature.

Performs contract drafting and review, contract database management, corporate governance matters, litigation support, research, correspondence, and special projects.

Handles competing priorities and works comfortably with all levels of internal clients and outside legal professionals.

Required

Associates degree in paralegal studies or a Bachelor of Arts/Science degree required. Certified Paralegal Credential preferred.

Five (5) years of demonstrated success in corporate legal support and coordination required, preferably in a financial institution or other financial services company, or in a private law firm.

Advanced Excel, Power Point, Word required. Must be able to use Word features, including Track Changes, Compare, styles.

Working knowledge of banking laws, contract review and negotiations and SharePoint required.

Preferred

Prior Credit Union experience preferred.

Exposure to a wide range of legal issues and disciplines, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth financial institution or other financial services company preferred.
