Responsibilities

Conduct credit analysis, due diligence and structuring for investment and real estate transactions
Conduct financial statement analysis
Conduct project-level analysis and diligence
Conduct impact analysis
Conduct term sheet creation
Support the creation of written investment memo for internal investment committee
Interface with multiple internal and external to support all aspects of deal lifecycle from prospecting through closing
Conduct financial modelling of new financial products that are innovative, socially responsible, fiscally responsible and attractive to the investing community
Provide support to Portfolio Management Associate to monitor and provide analysis on the existing loan portfolio
Support monthly, quarterly and semi-annual reporting requirements, collateral substitutions and loan prepayments
Support investor financial and impact reporting requirements
Interface with trustees, paying agents and internal finance to ensure timely and accurate satisfaction of debt service obligations
Provide reliable borrower, property, and market-level data by using available third-party and internal resources to conduct research
Support the creation and analysis of models, charts, tables, templates, maps and other resources related to lending and programmatic initiatives
Conduct market research, portfolio and impact data analysis related to historical and future lending work in advancing affordable homeownership, racial equity and climate resiliency
Develop investor and management presentations and reports as well as support training and educational materials for HFHI affiliates
Prospecting and research in support of broader strategic initiatives and new products and programs
Conduct financial modelling and budgeting support
Assist in the preparation and submission of funding proposals for federal and private programs

Required

Bachelor’s degree
At least 2 years of professional experience
At least 2 years of commercial loan underwriting and credit or financial analysis experience within the sectors of affordable housing, community development, finance, real estate development, and nonprofit management
Familiarity or interest in CDFI lending, tax credits, impact investing and credit training and commercial underwriting experience
Experience building models and data analysis; Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
