Responsibilities
Create and manage campaigns using marketing automation platforms such as Customer.io
Collaborate with various teams including technical, client engagement, creative, legal/compliance, and analytics to ensure successful campaign execution
Monitor campaign performance, troubleshoot issues, and make strategic modifications based on analytics
Maintain comprehensive documentation for campaign processes, workflows, and learnings, ensuring best practices are followed and shared across the organization
Recommend and implement test and learn scenarios to optimize campaign effectiveness
Ensure email campaigns adhere to legal and compliance standards, including data privacy regulations and anti-spam laws
Using HTML/CSS, optimize templates to meet specific campaign goals while maintaining brand consistency
Apply data insights from SQL queries to improve the relevance and effectiveness of campaigns, optimizing targeting and personalization

Required
2-5 years of hands-on experience with customer engagement platforms such as Customer.io, including setting up, managing, and optimizing email campaigns, workflows, and automated sequences.
Ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams (technical, client engagement, creative, legal/compliance, analytics) to ensure the successful launch and execution of campaigns. Strong communication and project management skills to coordinate between various stakeholders.
Experience in monitoring email campaign performance using analytics tools, identifying issues or areas for improvement, and troubleshooting technical or deliverability problems. Ability to monitor campaigns and synthesize reporting.
Understanding of email deliverability best practices, including sender reputation, IP warming, and how to troubleshoot issues with inbox placement.
Ability to analyze campaign performance data and use insights to drive strategic recommendations for continuous campaign improvement. Familiarity with key email marketing metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and deliverability.
Proficiency in coding and customizing responsive email templates using HTML and CSS, ensuring compatibility across multiple email clients and devices.
Experience with SQL, executing and testing queries for audience segmentation, data extraction, and analysis to tailor campaigns to target segments effectively.
Preferred
Experience with other customer engagement platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Katabat, Braze) in addition to Customer.io is a plus.
Ability to work with complex SQL queries for advanced audience segmentation, data analysis, and performance reporting.
Strong understanding of A/B testing methodologies to experiment with different subject lines, copy, designs, and calls-to-action to enhance campaign performance. Ability to recommend and implement 'test and learn' strategies based on analytics and past performance.
Relevant certifications in marketing automation, email marketing, or related fields (e.g., HubSpot Email Marketing, Salesforce Marketing Cloud) would be considered a plus.
Preference for candidates based in Eastern Time Zone.
