Responsibilities
Assist patients with billing concerns via incoming phone calls, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions
Research and resolve complex billing issues, including claims, eligibility, and patient statements
Provide guidance and support to team members, serving as a resource for questions
Maintain thorough documentation of patient interactions and actions taken in the system
Ensure compliance with regulations, privacy standards, and organizational policies

Required
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum of two years of customer service experience
Prior experience in a business office setting, preferably in a physician practice or hospital
Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Preferred
Experience with patient accounting and knowledge of insurance guidelines, including Medicare and Medicaid
Familiarity with patient accounting technology solutions and internet-based insurance websites
Demonstrated ability to manage stressful situations effectively and maintain professional relationships
