Responsibilities
Handle all aspects of import operations from beginning to end.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations and minimize disruptions.
Understand shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by fostering relationships.
Manage cross-border moves and negotiate rates with carriers and vendors.
Resolve problems to the benefit of customers and the company.
Collaborate with team members and demonstrate good communication skills.
Work effectively in high-pressure environments.

Required
Minimum 3 years experience handling all aspects of import operations from beginning to end.
Familiar with customs regulations and insuring compliance and minimizing disruptions.
In depth understanding of shipping regulations including customs procedures and documentation requirements.
Proven track record of customer satisfaction that includes fostering relationships.
Experience handling cross border moves.
Ability to work in high pressure environments.
Experience negotiating rates with carriers, trucking companies and vendors in general.
Technologically savvy.
Customer focused and welcoming personality.
Ability to understand and resolve problems to the benefit of customer and the company.
Team player with the ability to reach out to other members. Easily approachable.
Good communication skills.
Positive attitude.
Only candidates with experience in handling imports in the freight forwarding industry need apply.
Must have experience working for a forwarder or forwarders with knowledge of import procedures.
