Cyber Security Engineer

Responsibilities
Design and implement network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and secure network architecture
Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis, including optimizations, network resilience and failover testing
Monitor and respond to network and device help tickets
Monitor and respond to security incidents and threats, ensuring timely and effective resolution
Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols
Collaborate with IT and other departments, as well as outside vendors, to integrate security best practices
Perform security audits and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential threats
Stay current on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technology advancements
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior security engineers and other IT staff
Prepare and present security reports and recommendations to senior management

Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field required
Strong knowledge of network security protocols, tools, and best practices
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Cloudflare, Fortinet NAC, FortiGate firewalls, and BGP routing
Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances
Preferred
Relevant firewall, network security, CISCO certifications
