Responsibilities
Identify areas for process improvement within the cybersecurity team and broader organization.
Develop and implement strategies to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve overall security posture.
Conduct regular assessments of existing processes and recommend enhancements based on industry best practices.
Train and mentor team members on new processes and procedures.
Lead and manage cybersecurity projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure project objectives are met.
Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues or risks that may arise.
Support the development and implementation of a robust post-incident review process, which includes comprehensive after-action reports, lessons learned documentation, and residual risk management strategies, to enhance the overall incident response effectiveness and ensure continuous improvement.
Design, create, and deliver comprehensive cybersecurity metrics and reports to demonstrate team performance, incident trends, and areas for improvement.
Develop and maintain a detailed incident summarization and root cause analysis capability, ensuring thorough documentation and understanding of each incident's origins and contributing factors.
Identify and analyze trends impacting workload and staffing requirements, refining metrics to provide actionable insights for leadership and inform strategic decision-making.
Evolve existing metrics tracking to include advanced analytics and predictive modeling, enabling proactive identification of potential threats and optimization of incident response processes.
Ensure effective collaboration and information sharing within the cybersecurity team and with other departments.
Develop and maintain pathways for information sharing, including team file shares, SharePoint, and other collaboration tools.
Assist with the creation and maintenance of the team’s roadmap documentation, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field or relevant / equal work experience.
At least 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably with a focus on incident or crisis management.
Proven project management skills, with experience leading complex cybersecurity projects.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong (written and verbal) communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Experience in documenting and tracking identified risks through to closure.
Proficiency in MS Office tools, databases, and cybersecurity platforms.
