Responsibilities
Monitor and analyse security events and alerts from various sources to detect and respond to potential threats.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in the network and applications.
Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and enhance security posture.
Perform security audits and risk assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security controls.
Respond to and investigate security incidents, documenting findings and coordinating response efforts.
Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
Provide training and awareness programs to employees regarding cybersecurity best practices.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Proven experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles.
Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software.
Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
Experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and incident response tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
Experience with cloud security and securing cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Understanding of threat intelligence and incident response methodologies.
Required Security clearance.
Preferred
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
Federal Experience is a plus.
