Responsibilities
Reviewing system and network topologies to identify potential issues
Creating A&A package documentation
Guiding business teams through ATO processes
Creating processes for improving team workflows
Translating requirements to federal stakeholders to support the development of security documentation.
Navigating the VA GRC tool to quickly progress systems through the RMF process.
Developing informational updates and action plans based on industry meetings and conference calls

Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar. 5-10 years additional experience can work in lieu of a degree
Assessment & Authorization experience at VA
CISSP (preferred), CISA, CISM, or CAP required
Minimum 5 years of experience in the IT space
Exposure to a risk management framework such as NIST 80-53, ISO 27001, ISO 27002, HITRUST, FedRAMP, Zero Trust, etc strongly preferred
Federal Information Systems experience & knowledge of the security control assessment process preferred
Information Security experience within a Government, Healthcare, or Privacy Sensitive environment
Must be a US Citizen

CCSK (preferred - can be obtained shortly after joining)
