Responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with program and sector teams to identify opportunities to leverage advance analytics approaches and strengthen capacity around leveraging data for increased programmatic quality, impact, and reach
Contribute the development of appropriate data products for CRS’s program and sector teams, following industry best practices and through engagement with sector teams. Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of these products, ensuring both data and models are functioning properly, and are cataloged, accessible, and used appropriately.
Support data identification and preparation, by providing technical assistance for the search and identification of new data sources, as well as the ingestion, preparation, and onboarding of data. Maintain relationships with third party data providers as appropriate.
Provide technical assistance and capacity strengthening to sector/project teams for data analysis, visualization, cleaning, and interpretation, as well as deriving actionable insights from data analyses.
Contribute to the development of robust documentation around CRS’s data products, enabling replication and scaling and ensuring best practices are continuously followed.
Contribute to the agency’s knowledge management and learning agenda in data science through helping implement conditions for collective learning that ensure the capturing, documenting, and sharing of key successes, promising practices, and lessons learned.

Required
Experience in data analysis and visualization.
Proficiency in data cleaning and interpretation.
Ability to develop and maintain data products.
Experience with machine learning and geospatial algorithms.
Strong communication skills for effective engagement with program and sector teams.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in identifying and preparing data sources.
Technical assistance experience in data analysis and capacity strengthening.
Preferred
Experience working in a cross-functional data science team.
Familiarity with industry best practices in data management.
Experience with documentation of data products and processes.
Knowledge of knowledge management and learning agendas in data science.
