Responsibilities

Build and enhance statistical and predictive models for risk-based quantitative analysis.

Applies scientific, data mining, and statistical theory and methods to test hypotheses using structured and unstructured data.

Partner with a cross-functional team of data engineers, machine learning engineers, and data visualizers to deliver projects.

Develops proofs of concept or demonstrations to evaluate feasibility of project solutions and recommends visualization strategies.

Develop communication strategies of concepts and results for multiple levels of management and technical expertise.

Develop, implement, and maintain analytics systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks.

Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets.

Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for datasets.

Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization.

Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or a related field

Knowledge of mathematics’ principles and concepts, and familiarity with other scientific and engineering disciplines to carry out complex statistical analysis processes

Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations

Strong SQL and Excel skills, with aptitude for learning other analytics tools

Strong understanding of database design, data mining, and data modeling concepts

Proven ability to develop effective data visualizations strategies

Advanced verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills to communicate clearly and concisely technical and non-technical information to all levels of management
