Responsibilities

Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

Extract and manipulate large datasets from multiple sources using SQL and other data management tools.

Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs, provide analytical support and deliver actionable insights.

Utilize statistical methods and data visualization tools to interpret data and present findings.

Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support various business initiatives and projects.

Assist in the development and implementation of data collection systems and data management processes.

Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all data sources.

Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis.

Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

May represent Johnstone Supply at trade associations, events, and local chapters.

Required

Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university, with preference given to a specialized degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science preferred; at least 4 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.

Experience with data visualization tools such as Phocas, Power BI, Tableau or similar.

Knowledge of statistical methods and data modeling techniques.

Problem-solving skills: listening to, interpreting, and meeting the needs of others; diagnosing and rectifying problems.

Ability to develop and use systems for organizing information.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Skill in following through on commitments.

Ability to multitask and prioritize work.

Ability to work efficiently and with a sense of urgency.
