Responsibilities

Candidate will be responsible for conducting business analyses and studies, needs assessments, requirements analysis/definition, and cost/benefit analyses to align business systems, solutions, and initiatives.

Prepare forecasts and analyze trends, reporting regulations, and business conditions.

Develops and analyzes metrics, performance measurements, requirements, reports, and recommendations related to management, organizational structure, policy/procedures, and business systems.

Identifies potential business risks.

Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field

Experience with modeling, simulation, and computation methods

1 year of relevant professional experience in business analysis

Pro-active approach to problem solving and assigned tasks

Willingness and ability to learn and apply new methods as required by the particular analysis

Comfortable working with a number of object-oriented programming languages and environments, such as Python, Java, C++, C#, R, MATLAB, Simulink

Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience in data analysis and modeling

Preferred

A Master of Science degree in a STEM field is highly preferred

Experience applying a variety of analytical and computational methods, including Classical and modern statistics, Differential equations, Linear algebra

Experience using a variety of modeling and simulation methods, including Discrete event simulation, Agent-based modeling, Network simulations, Physics-based modeling, Markov decision processes, Hidden Markov models, Stochastic processes, Monte Carlo and bootstrap methods
