Responsibilities

Lead the design and architecture of data solutions using Azure Databricks, data governance tooling, and other Azure services, following microservices principles.

Develop and implement data models that support business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Cognos, and Tableau.

Utilize cloud-based tools to create, manage, and optimize data pipelines for high-volume production systems.

Use programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R to access, transform, and analyze data.

Deploy and manage Databricks notebooks and workflows to streamline data processing and analytics.

Work in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to iteratively develop and deliver data products.

Continuously optimize data pipeline performance to ensure efficiency and reliability in data processing.

Required

5+ years of experience in developing cloud-based data solutions, with a strong emphasis on Azure.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) and Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) certifications.

Extensive experience in architecting data solutions using microservices principles with Databricks on Azure and Collibra or Purview.

Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

Proven track record in optimizing data pipeline performance.

Proficient in data transformation and analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, and R.

Deep understanding of Databricks workflows and deployment processes.

Expertise in data modelling for business intelligence platforms like Power BI, Cognos, and Tableau.

Strong experience in Agile methodologies and collaborative development environments.

Preferred

Experience with additional Azure services and tools.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about data solutions.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Familiarity with technologies such as Snowflake and Fabric.

Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate or Professional Certification.
