Responsibilities
Primary point of contact for DC substation projects for key clients, establishing robust communication internally and externally.
Deploying project teams for substation design projects, coordinating with various teams and leadership.
Developing efficient design teams focused on speed to market and supporting other PMs with resourcing.
Facilitating workshare among multiple teams, monitoring project milestones and metrics.
Coordinating best practices for proposals, execution, and construction support.
Managing project scope, schedule, budget, and team, ensuring effective communication with clients.
Independently working, mentoring assistant PMs, leading local design teams, and supporting marketing efforts.
Representing HDR in marketing and proposal development for new opportunities.

Required
Bachelor's degree in related field
7 years related experience
A minimum of 2 years project management experience
Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) with active commitment to obtain P.E. preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) or ability to obtain is desired
Technical experience with high voltage electrical switchyard and substation projects of small to medium size and complexity, including at a minimum, conceptual knowledge of physical, electrical, civil, and structural design components
Minimum 3 years of project management experience in substation
Minimum 5 years of substation design experience
Experience with scoping, estimating, and developing switchyard and/or substation data center projects preferred
Client facing experience, ability to interface effectively with a non-utility client and think on your feet
Proficient with Microsoft Office and cloud-based document control and project communication platforms
Knowledge of project scheduling and application in project delivery
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where rapid response is expected
Position may require some travel, but is not a travel-intensive role
