Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable and efficient ETL pipelines that integrate seamlessly with various internal and external data sources.
Implement data transformation, cleansing, and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and quality of data ingested into our databases.
Collaborate with Operations, DevOps, and business teams to understand data requirements and build systems that support data enhancement and extraction.
Optimize data integration strategies to improve performance and reduce latency in data availability.
Conduct data quality checks and troubleshoot ETL processes to prevent disruptions in data flow.
Stay abreast of industry advancements in data engineering and introduce innovative practices and technologies to enhance our data systems.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years experience in Data Engineering with a strong focus on ETL processes.
Proficient in SQL and familiar with scripting languages like Python or Scala.
Experienced with ETL tools such as dbt, Airbyte, Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, Luigi, Fivetran, AWS Glue, etc.
Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred

Experience working in the AWS ecosystem, particularly with Aurora, DMS, and DynamoDB.
Expertise with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses.
Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g. Spark) and experience working with large data sets.
Experience building ETL pipelines to support ML and AI workflows.
Knowledge of real-time or near-real-time data pipeline architectures.
