Responsibilities

Provide data analytics thought leadership, advice, and guidance to business stakeholders, along with education and direct support to create and cultivate a “data analytics self-service” culture and to act as an agent of change to uplift overall data maturity within the organization.

Collaborate closely with key business stakeholders and Insights Team colleagues to ensure business data users have the tools they need to leverage the power of data analytics to solve business problems, answer business questions and improve decision making.

Leverage Nufarm’s centralized data platform and data engineering tools, patterns, standards and practices to bring different data together from different systems to make it available for analytics purposes, including designing and building data pipelines to extract, load and transform data from various data sources.

Ensure centralized data is automated, complete, correct and up to date so it can be trusted when used for analytics purposes.

Build analytical tools such as dashboards that utilize data to provide actionable insights into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition.

Proactively identify internal process improvement opportunities in support of the Insights Team’s “Speed to Insights” mantra including working with the team to improve scalability, optimize data delivery, automate manual processes, and implement new data solutions.

Provide day to day operational management and support of data solutions including working closely with key business stakeholders / functional teams and other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues and then addressing any root causes.

Create / update all necessary documentation to ensure solutions are documented in line with Insights Team requirements.

Perform all assigned activities / projects in a timely, professional manner to enable successful business and Insights Team outcomes.

Required

Master’s degree in data science / analytics (or related field) and minimum 5+ years’ proven work experience in roles that demonstrate expertise in meeting stated objectives and primary responsibilities of the role.

Amazing communication (verbal, written, presentation) and inter-personal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with different kinds of stakeholders at all levels.

Strong experience with disciplines / technologies such as: data analysis, data modelling, data governance, data science, big-data, designing and building data pipelines that ingest data from multiple different types of source systems including databases, files, Oracle ERPs, Salesforce CRM and / or similar.

database and data warehousing (SQL, Oracle etc).

analytics and dashboard tools (Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects etc).

cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS.

Proficiency in tools / languages such as SSIS, SQL, Python and R, and the ability to write, debug, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes.

Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.

Ability to develop strong relationships with key internal/external stakeholders and approach every challenge with a 'customer-centric' approach. Ability to influence and gain the support of key stakeholders across the organization.
