Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable data pipelines on cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
Collaborate closely with data architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Utilize programming languages such as Python, Java, and Scala to implement ETL processes, data transformations, and data integration workflows.
Build and maintain data warehouses, data lakes, and other data storage solutions using databases including Azure Data Lake, MS-SQL, Apache, and Teradata.
Implement data governance, security, and compliance measures to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data assets.
Optimize data processing and storage for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, identifying and resolving issues to ensure data availability and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for data engineering and contribute to the continuous improvement of data infrastructure and processes.

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Prior experience working with Federal agencies, demonstrating a strong understanding of government processes, regulations, and standards.
Proven experience in designing and implementing data pipelines and infrastructure on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Java, and Scala.
Strong understanding of databases such as Azure Data Lake, MS-SQL, Apache, and Teradata.
Experience with ETL tools and techniques for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Familiarity with data modeling concepts and techniques.
Knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, and big data technologies.
Experience with data governance, security, and compliance standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred

designing on platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud: 3 years
Federal: 1 year
DB such as Azure Data Lake, MS-SQL, Apache, and Teradata: 4 years
