Responsibilities

Learn various job functions within the Managed Care industry and explore various career opportunities.

Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to various projects.

Research various legal, regulatory, and other topics within functional area and industry.

Attend training and development presentations to enhance professional competencies.

Code and review documentation – as this team works on projects, our code and documentation may sometimes get out of sync. Reconciling our documentation with the code we put into production is an important “after action” task that we do not always have the bandwidth to get to. We would ask our intern to review past projects, recommend “fixes”, and then implement “fixes” to bring both into parity.

Required

Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college in a field related to the hiring department, such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, through the internship period.

Has completed a course in programming.

Knowledge of basic SQL.

Can write a program in a scripted language (e.g. C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python).

Demonstrates good organizational and time management skills.

Strong communication skills and intellectual curiosity.
