Responsibilities

Lead, evolve, and scale the data governance framework including managing the relevant objectives, approach, processes, policies, technology, and procedures.

Develop and implement a comprehensive data retention framework tailored to meet compliance and business needs.

Navigate a complex stakeholder landscape, demonstrating strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle multiple workstreams to ensure alignment with data governance policies.

Provide regular reporting on Enterprise Data Governance KPIs, metrics, and activities.

Maintain comprehensive records of data policies, procedures, audits, and compliance evidence to support transparency and serve as reference for ongoing and new retention projects.

Maintain the relevance and accuracy of metadata within the Enterprise Data Governance Information System.

Drive data governance adoption through stakeholder consultation and trainings (i.e. RegU, Lunch and Learns, playbooks)

Demonstrate proactive thought-leadership by actively keeping up to date on industry trends and developments by making recommendations for areas of opportunity and improvement.

Act as the point of contact for Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Business Data Stewards and Technical Data Stewards for data quality and governance related questions/concerns

Write documentation including data governance workflows, standards, guidelines, taxonomies, operating procedures, and corporate data policies.

Required

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Data analysis skills with experience using enterprise tools such as Informatica IDQ, Informatica MDM, Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog, Informatica Axon, Collibra, and/or other metadata management tools

High-level understanding of global Data Privacy Regulation (i.e. GDPR, CCPA), local data-centric regulations (i.e. SOX, GLBA), and industry best practices (i.e. AI Ethics, PII, DCAM, IAPP and PCI credentials and certifications)

Ability to build relationships and credibility across the organization

Experience working on data and analytical processes, interacting, and collaborating with Technology teams in development and implementation of solutions to enable data governance capabilities, mitigate risks, and drive awareness and adoption data governance policies and standards across all data users

Strong knowledge of and experience with data governance as a practice, including enterprise data management, data lifecycle management, data quality, data lineage, meta data management, data methodologies, data analytics and reporting, and the ethical use of data and artificial intelligence (AI)

Proficiency in SQL
