Responsibilities

Utilize statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling to extract insights from financial data sets.
Develop and implement algorithms and quantitative models to optimize investment strategies, portfolio management, and risk assessment.
Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, and investment analysts to identify opportunities and mitigate risks based on data-driven insights.

Build and deploy scalable data pipelines and automated processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
Conduct research on emerging trends and technologies in finance and data science to innovate and improve analytical methodologies.
Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through visualizations, reports, and presentations.
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and ethical standards in data science practices.

Required

Master's or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
Proven experience (X years) as a data scientist in the finance industry, with a strong track record of applying advanced analytics to financial problems.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, with experience in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
Solid understanding of financial markets, investment principles, and quantitative finance concepts.
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for large-scale data processing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and extract meaningful insights.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
