Responsibilities
Write complex code to model specific situations in sporting events.
Develop custom data models and algorithms, focused on accurately projecting player statistics within full game simulations.
Design processes and tools for monitoring and analyzing model performance and data accuracy.
Contribute to research and innovation in sports data science initiatives.

Required
Advanced knowledge of machine learning, data analysis, and statistical modeling, specifically with respect to professional sports.
Proficiency in statistics and statistical software applications, such as Python or R.
Practical experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL.
2+ years of experience in a professional data science or engineering environment.
Advanced knowledge of sports and their related statistics and modeling methodologies.
Familiarity with advanced sports statistics and analytics platforms used in professional basketball or football.
Experience working with real-time sports data feeds and APIs.
Preferred
Experience with data visualization and report building is a plus.
Knowledge of sports betting concepts and daily fantasy sports a plus.
Experience with Rust, C++, Java, or any other lower-level programming languages.
Have previously written and deployed production level code or machine learning models.
Experience within a professional sports organization.
