Responsibilities

Collaborate with the data science team to create and improve foundational models

Collaborate with development teams to integrate machine learning models into production applications

Design and develop analysis techniques to uncover patterns and anomalies in large-scale health data

Integrate data from multiple data sources or functional areas, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and updating as needed

Assist with complex analysis requests from senior leadership or project teams

Required

Master's degree in applied mathematics, statistics, data science, computer science, or related field with 2+ years of experience OR bachelor’s degree in one of those fields with 3+ years of experience

Proven track record of designing and building statistical and machine learning models to solve complex problems

Proficiency in SQL and Python – including Pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other standard data science libraries

Experience working in a cloud computing environment such as AWS, GCP, or similar

Experience working with healthcare claims and electronic health record data

Ability to engage business leaders to gain deep understanding of the problems to be solved and desired outcomes and collaborate with others to create a solution

Open mind and desire to collaborate with others, consider different ideas, accept feedback, and find common ground on the best path forward

Excellent oral and written communication skills including data visualization and the ability to clearly communicate complex findings to leaders in other departments

Attention to detail and ability to manage schedules and deadlines independently
