Responsibilities
Maintain AFSC’s SharePoint infrastructure and resolve help desk tickets related to data management and intranet.
Partner with SharePoint team on redevelopment and administration of organizational intranet pages.
Work with cross-departmental teams to streamline organizational processes with customized solutions in PowerApps and Power Platform.
Provide actionable insights for decision-making by creating and managing interactive dashboards and reports in PowerBI.
Support and enhance the AFSC’s data strategy by leveraging Microsoft Dataverse and Microsoft Fabric.
Create a globally cohesive organizational data repository by integrating data from various sources, including CRM, ERP, and HRIS.
Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data from various sources into the AFSC’s Data Lake and Lakehouses.
Design and implement data models within Dataverse to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of AFSC’s data.
Ensure data integrity and security across all platforms, adhering to best practices and compliance requirements.
Execute database administration tasks, including backups, indexing, and performance tuning.
Work with AFSC’s IT Security Group to monitor, investigate and rectify security threats made against AFSC data platforms.
Provide training and support to Citizen Developers on using Power Platform tools effectively.
Stay updated with the latest features and updates in Power Platform, Dataverse, Fabrics and related technologies to continuously improve solutions.
Develop documentation and guidelines for data management and usage within the organization.
Use troubleshooting skills to resolve assigned support requests from the IT ticketing system in an efficient and timely manner.
Participate in AFSC’s SharePoint Community of Practice and AI Sandbox groups.
Collaborate on AFSC’s AI strategy, research and pilot relevant AI tools, and help expand organizational AI literacy and capacity.
Leverage AI tools like Copilot and GPT models to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
Maintain relationships with relevant consultants and contractors working on AFSC data projects.
Use data to facilitate a network weaving practice that enhances relationships within the AFSC and peer nonprofit community.
Communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
Willingness to work outside of local business hours to service support requests, attend meetings, and provide emergency support as needed.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience required.
Minimum three years of experience with Data engineering and analysis.
Expertise with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse
Knowledge of SQL for querying, updating, and managing relational databases
Knowledge of Python and R for scripting and statistical analysis
Experience in designing and implementing relational database schemas
Proficiency in creating Entity-Relationship (ER) diagrams to model database structures
Knowledge of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and tools
Experience in data engineering, with a focus on Microsoft Fabrics and Data Lake technologies
Skills with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS for custom development within Power Platform solutions
Ability to leverage AI tools such as Copilot, GPT-3/4, and other machine learning models
Ability to collaborate with staff and partners from diverse backgrounds, to identify the requirements of their events and projects, and to patiently explain complex concepts and policies.
Demonstrate ability, willingness, and judgment to work independently, take initiative and self-start projects that add value to the organization, set priorities and meet deadlines.
Good organizational skills, discipline, and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must show initiative in problem solving—a good self-starter.
Must have the ability to advise, train, support, and work with a diverse group of individuals.
Must be user oriented.
Be able to work under pressure, make and meet commitments.
Ability to execute tasks assigned by myriad project teams and managers
Clear oral and written communication skills – must be comfortable conversing and corresponding with staff around the world who do not speak English as their primary language.

Preferred
Certifications in Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, or related technologies are a plus
Preferred proficiency using database tools like Microsoft Fabrics, Azure Data Factory, PySpark, and Databricks
