Responsibilities
Design and maintain software applications related to an enterprise level database’s functionality.
Write, modify, and tune enterprise level databases.
Manage the developing, implementing, and maintaining integration methods between Systems.
Assist in providing the most efficient and expeditious storage and retrieval of enterprise database information.
Manage the designing, developing, and implementing of complex enterprise level database systems, programs and applications.
Conduct research and makes recommendations on enterprise level database products, services, protocols, and standards in support of development efforts.
Safeguard the company’s data by maintaining enterprise-level database security, prioritizing to ensure the integrity of those processes most vulnerable to attack.
Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategy to maximize uptime and mitigate data loss in disaster scenario
Create and/or maintain documentation around database configuration, processes, and troubleshooting steps
Plan and execute database/server migration and update projects
Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to lower-level staff. May act as lead.
Perform related work as assigned.

Required
Six or more years of related experience is required.
Strong skills with ETL processes/tools such as SSIS are required.
T-SQL programming skills are required.
Preferred
A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
One or more of the following Certifications are preferred: Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Oracle Certified Professional, or Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS).
Experience with administering a Windows cluster environment leveraging Microsoft SQL Server Availability Groups preferred.
Knowledge base of Microsoft’s replication technologies including database mirroring and log shipping preferred.
Additional programming skills such as Java or C# are preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
Displays inquisitiveness and openness to learn. Consistently seeks and learns new technology.
Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to develop and give presentations on technical matters to various members of the organization.
Ability to gather information, and troubleshoot to develop enterprise level database solutions.
Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment to produce work in a timely manner.
Strong understanding and operational experience in the following areas: integration tool sets; enterprise level database structures, theories, principles and practices; and designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting database servers.
