Responsibilities
Provide technical support for DB2 mainframe databases, including administration, maintenance, performance tuning, and design.
Ensure best practices in database planning, design, and configuration.
Monitor database performance and conduct capacity planning to ensure optimal growth.
Assist in migrating mainframe DB2 data to modern relational database platforms.
Collaborate with other DBAs, IT staff, and stakeholders to meet performance goals and deadlines.
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Required
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical study.
Experience working with ODJFS (Ohio Department of Job and Family Services) or other state agencies.
9+ years of DBA experience with expertise in DB2 mainframe databases.
Preferred
SQL Server DBA certification is highly desirable.
