Responsibilities
Support and assist the Architect of the Capitol in preserving, maintaining and enhancing the national treasures of the Capitol complex.
Provide strategic direction, management, and oversight for operational functions of a significantly complex organization including facilities operation and maintenance, safety, design, construction, project management, administration and modernization of information technology systems, productivity and cost-savings measures, strategic human capital management, and financial management.
Deliver facilities management services with a workforce comprised of both bargaining and non-bargaining unit personnel.
Oversee large complex and/or historical facilities and communicate strategically to establish and maintain effective relationships with various constituencies.

Required
Must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements
Must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement
Must submit a narrative response addressing specific knowledge, skills, and abilities that demonstrate possession of the qualifications
Must have demonstrated leadership experience obtained over several years at the GS-15 level or equivalent for each Executive Core Qualification (ECQ) and Professional Technical Qualification (PTQ)
Must address and meet the Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) and Professional Technical Qualifications (PTQs) via the vacancy questionnaire
Must review the ECQ competencies guidance and sample resumes in OPM’s Guide to Senior Executive Service Qualification
Must address each PTQ if currently serving in a Senior-Rated (SR) appointment, career Senior Executive Service (SES) appointment, or have successfully completed a SES Candidate Development Program and have been certified by the Office of Personnel Management
