Responsibilities
Working with our Editor in Chief, and Head of Operations to manage the day-to-day art and design needs of our website, newsletters, social feeds, and marketing materials
Being savvy and resourceful about finding and creating images for all of the above.
Handling the day-to-day operations of our social media platforms, and creating compelling visuals for them when necessary.
Helping us design and improve our key systems for image and art management and marketing
Being quick on your feet, and unruffled by a dynamic and fluid workload. We publish daily, and we move fast.
Exploring and designing new site features and running pilot projects
Creating and managing marketing partnerships
Helping us develop a strong, trusting, extremely fun community of readers and subscribers
And other projects, large and small, that we can’t think of right now

Required
You have significant digital design experience, and ideally digital media design experience, and have worked in the programs we use.
You have a sharp design sense, and it’s compatible with the existing aesthetic of our site and newsletters.
You’re an unusually strong analytical thinker.
You have experience running social for a publication or brand.
You have a deep interest in wine. You don’t need to be a Master Sommelier to get this job, but you at at least have a foundational knowledge of wine and want to learn (a lot) more.
Preferred
It’s a major plus if you have significant wine knowledge–WSET certifications; significant time spent working in wine bars or in wine retail—and knowledge that is compatible with the perspectives you see on our site.
If you know enough about wine to handle our social feeds without extensive supervision, that’s a major plus.
