Responsibilities

Oversee all visual elements of our newspaper, website and apps, taking the lead on creative decisions and redesigns. Ensure all designs are of the highest quality, visually appealing, and user-friendly.
Work closely with our product and marketing departments to ensure consistency across all strands of our brand identity.
Collaborate with editorial teams, photographers, illustrators, and developers to create cohesive and impactful storytelling experiences across print and digital platforms.
Provide strategic direction and creative vision to the design team. Inspire and mentor designers to push the boundaries of creativity while maintaining brand consistency.

Required

Minimum of 12 years of experience in graphic design, with a focus on both print and digital media.
Proven experience in a leadership role, managing and influencing across multiple disciplines.
Expertise in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and other design principles.
Experience with UX/UI design and knowledge of web and mobile design best practices.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to translate complex ideas into visually compelling and accessible designs.
Strong project management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
